Returning for Feb 2023 after 9 months, with limited availability at larger sizes!
The name of this species refers to the white ring of exudate underneath the peristome, which acts as a highly effective attractant for termites, which swarm over the plant at night, feeding on the exudate. Some will be captured and consumed by the pitcher. In habitat the white ring may be nearly entirely eaten away by termites and hardly visible, but in horticulture it’s intact and contrasts beautifully with the velvety pitcher body.
This item was selected out of an original 24 clones in microprop for its flawless green pitcher body with all the classic characteristics of the species. The photos shown here are of the precise clone shipped.
