New for Jan 2022!
Nepenthes bellii is perhaps the smallest species in the genus and has pitchers that mimic the appearance of those of the giant N. merrilliana in form, but at a tiny fraction of their size. The diminutive growth habit of the plant makes it great for compact spaces, such as terrariums.
History: First introduced on our old PDF pricelist around 2005, after we closed our lowland nurseries in 2012 it became unavailable as nursery-grown plants for almost 10 years, except for a total of only 30 plants released in Nov 2017 on our wholesale auctions. It came to the online shop for the first time in Jan 2022.
Description: Although a close relative to the giant N. merrilliana, this is a diminutive species. This particular clone was selected many years ago as the best out of 24 clones in microprop, for its orange and red pitcher colouration with contrasting lime-green peristome.
Source: From a single carefully selected clone out of microprop.
Climate: Lowland
